Buying a pair of toms will is both pragmatic and inspiring. You buy the shoes becaus eyou might need or want some shoes, but you also donate a pair of shoes to someone else who needs them. This makes you feel good because you feel like you are morally sound, helping someone else. The company uses this as its main lure. They might as well say, “Be a good person and buy our shoes” and we say “ok, I want to be a good person. Oh yeah, and I also can never have enough shoes.”
