It’s hard to find someone who doesn’t watch even a little bit of the Olympics. It’s basically the ultimate admiration-inducer: everyone who watches can marvel at the incredible skill and dedication of the athletes, which is showcased through friendly competition between athletes and nations. However, the Olympics also inspires through elevation. Watching countries whose leaders don’t normally get along come together every four years inspires us all to put aside our own differences and make peace.
