It also offers suggestions for conversation starters, and will even send an “are you sure you want to send this message?” pop up if you start a conversation by only messaging “hey.” This then prompts the sender to reconsider their conversation starter, and increases motivation to start the conversation interestingly when the notification says, “studies have shown that people are less likely to respond to this than a question or more interesting conversation starter.” Finally, Bumble reduces the number of cognitive cycles it takes to come up with a conversation starter by suggesting questions or messages you can send.
