Personal photo: a cork bulletin board on a white wall above a desk, covered with pushpinned postcards, photos, a printed class schedule, and a few restaurant receipts, with a warm desk lamp visible below.

A cork bulletin board above my desk is 2 feet by 3 feet with a plain wood frame. It has become the only analog surface in my life where I pin photos, postcards, receipts from restaurants I liked, and class schedules that I need to see every morning. Cork holds pushpins without complaint and the surface develops a pattern of tiny holes over time that records what was there before. I like that the board is always visible and never asks me to log in or scroll. Pinning something to it feels like a decision unlike saving a bookmark.
