#60 of 383Notion for Students
Press shot: a Notion workspace on a laptop screen showing a course dashboard with a calendar view, a linked database of assignments, and a sidebar of nested pages organized by subject.
Notion gives students a free Pro plan, and the app has become the default organizational tool in my program. It handles notes, databases, calendars, and project wikis in a single interface that actually looks good. The block-based editor means every piece of content is a draggable unit. I can turn a bulleted list into a toggle list or a table without reformatting anything. Where the real value shows up is Notion's template gallery. Upperclassmen share course trackers and assignment databases that save 10 hours of setup at the start of each semester. Starting with a blank page rather than forcing a structure takes trust in the user, and that openness is what makes it work for people with completely different organizational styles.
