My Brita pitcher is the most boring product I use every day, but it does the one thing I need: make tap water taste good enough that I stopped buying bottled water. The Longlast filter lasts 6 months instead of the standard 2. The pitcher fits in the fridge door shelf, which matters more than any filtration spec because if it didn't fit there I wouldn't use it. Brita has been making the same product for 40 years, and replacement filters are available at every grocery store within walking distance.
