#335 of 363Hotel Lobby Armchair
Press shot: a deep brown leather armchair in a hotel lobby with a small round wooden side table beside it, marble floors visible in the background and warm pendant lighting overhead.
Armchairs in the lobby of the hotel I stayed at last weekend were deep enough that sitting down felt like a commitment, with wide leather cushions and wooden arms that curved slightly inward. Leather was dark brown and worn in the right places, not distressed on purpose but actually used by hundreds of people over what looked like 10 or 15 years. I want furniture like that in my apartment but the look only works at scale. In a room with high ceilings and marble floors where 1 chair doesn't have to do all the work of making the space feel complete. Six of them arranged in pairs with small side tables between, the spacing invited conversation without forcing it.
