#126 of 363Campus Rooftop Garden
Press shot of a university rooftop garden with several wooden raised beds containing green herbs and small vegetable plants, campus buildings visible in the background under a clear sky.
The rooftop garden on the science building opened last spring and I keep going back up there between classes. Not because I care about gardening but because the space itself is so different from every other part of campus. Raised beds built from reclaimed wood hold plants labeled with small metal tags that tell you what each herb is used for. Makes walking through the rows feel educational without anyone lecturing you. I like that the garden is student-run and the produce goes to the campus dining hall. From 4 stories up the campus looks completely different, and sitting up there with my laptop feels more productive than any library floor.
