Personal photo: a pegboard wall inside a tool library garage showing neatly organized drills, saws, clamps, and gardening tools with handwritten labels.

A tool library near campus works like a regular library but for drills, saws, and gardening equipment instead of books. Members pay $30 a year and can borrow up to 5 tools at a time for a week. Filling an entire garage, the collection is managed by volunteers who know which drill is best for hanging shelves and which saw actually cuts straight, which turns the borrowing process into free advice.
