A 7-day pill organizer that my grandmother uses has taught me more about design for daily habits than most products aimed at my age group. Seven colored lids labeled with days form the entire interface and the interaction is binary: open, take, close. It costs $4, has no app, no Bluetooth, and never needs charging. The design acknowledges that the hardest part of taking medication is remembering, not understanding, and the open lid is a visible signal that works better than any notification.
