Bala figured out that wrist weights can look like jewelry, and that simple insight turned a gym accessory into something you actually want to wear around the house. The Bangles are smooth silicone with a stainless steel clasp. They come in colors like charcoal and sage instead of the neon options at sporting goods stores. Each one weighs 1 pound, which doesn't sound like much until you do 30 minutes of arm exercises and realize the constant resistance adds up fast. The clasp locks securely but opens with one hand, and the silicone is soft enough for bare skin. At $49 for a pair, the price is steep for 2 pounds of weight, but per-use cost keeps dropping because I actually reach for them instead of leaving them in a closet. Bala built something that addresses a real barrier to home exercise: most equipment is ugly enough to discourage you from starting.
