#209 of 315Campus Bike Share Kiosks
Press shot of a campus bike share kiosk with a row of docked bicycles, a digital reader panel visible on the front post, set against a brick academic building.
The bike share kiosks on campus aren't pretty, but they solve a real problem. The solution is clever enough to notice. You tap your student ID on a reader, a lock releases, and you ride the bike to any other kiosk and dock it. The whole transaction takes about 8 seconds and costs nothing because it's built into tuition. That zero-friction access means I actually use it instead of walking 15 minutes across campus. Kiosks are placed at every major building entrance. Whoever mapped those locations clearly studied where students actually need to go rather than where it was easiest to install hardware.
