The “Verilux® Natural Spectrum Desk Lamp” is the ultimate
college desk lamp: it proudly eschews traditional aesthetic in the name of
function. It’s neck maybe remind one more of a piece of plumbing to be hidden
in the walls, and the white plastic certainly isn’t winning any interior design
competitions, but what a functional form it possess: it has an outlet—one USB,
one AC—on each side of the base, the neck is flexible and nearly unbreakable,
the light itself is nicely diffused by a plastic cover, and the base is far
heavy enough to avoid worries of the lamp toppling over or getting accidentally
knocked off the desk. Since electricity technology isn’t “advancing” anytime
soon, this lamp differentiates itself with its variety of useful offerings and
a focus on what a lamp should focus: a bright yet non-blinding light for your
 desk.
