The JR Yamanote Line in Tokyo, Japan runs in a circle in the most central neighborhoods of Tokyo. Tokyo as a city is set up on radial lines that allow various trains to traverse a circular track and be intersected by trains that run from the city center to all the neighborhoods in between. In particular, the Yamanote line covers the largest business areas and many of the tourists area. The circular track allows tourist to never get lost on the train system. In addition, many business people fall asleep on the Yamanote line and don’t have to worry about missing their stop because they can ride the train back around to their original destination.
