Allbirds Tree Dasher Runners

The Allbirds Tree Dasher is a running shoe made from eucalyptus fiber and sugarcane foam. After 3 months, I think it's a solid everyday sneaker even if I wouldn't race in it. Tree fiber weave has a natural open structure, so the upper breathes well in warm weather. SweetFoam midsole is bouncy enough for casual runs without traditional EVA stiffness. Allbirds prints the carbon footprint on the sole of each shoe, a detail that impressed me more than expected. At $135, though, tread wears faster than Nike or Asics at similar price points. For daily wear on campus where I walk 3-4 miles a day, they hold up well. Sustainability claims check out more than most brands I've looked into.
