Hay Kaleido trays are flat steel in geometric shapes that nest together like a puzzle. Edges bent up just enough keep small objects from sliding off. Powder-coated colors are muted enough that 3 or 4 trays overlapping on a coffee table read as composition rather than mess. Hexagons, triangles, and irregular polygons tessellate in different configurations. At $25 for the smallest size they aren't a serious investment. Better gift than a candle.
