Notion Calendar Integration

Notion released a calendar product that syncs with their workspace app. After using it for a semester, I think it's the closest anyone has come to making a calendar feel like it belongs inside your actual workflow rather than sitting next to it in a separate tab. Every event links directly to a Notion page. A meeting or class session connects to the notes and documents associated with it, and clicking through from the calendar opens relevant context instead of just a title and a time slot. Weekly view shows events alongside task databases. Deadlines and scheduled blocks appear in the same layout without flipping between 2 applications. Notion has earned trust among students because the free plan is generous and the product has been reliable for 3 years. Building a calendar into that suite makes sense because the main complaint about Notion was always that it couldn't handle time-based planning as well as knowledge organization. Drag-and-drop rescheduling works as expected, but the detail I appreciate most is creating a new Notion page directly from a calendar event. That turns scheduling into preparation rather than just time management. Google Calendar, Fantastical, and the default Apple calendar all treat events as isolated containers with no connection to the work happening around them. Integration is still imperfect. The mobile app lags behind the desktop version, and some sync delays mean events created on my phone don't show up on my laptop for 10 to 15 minutes. At semester's end I can look back at a timeline including both what I planned and what I produced. Record is more useful than any calendar I've kept before.
