Oversized Blazer Trend

Oversized blazers cycle back every few years but this iteration feels different because people are wearing them with sweatpants and sneakers instead of tailored trousers. Combining a formal top with a casual bottom creates a tension I find interesting even though I am not sure it works. Proportions are deliberate: dropped shoulders, sleeves that cover the wrist, a hem that hits mid-thigh. Borrowed rather than bought is how the silhouette reads, and most oversized blazers coming from thrift stores reinforces that impression.
