Burt's Bees makes a beeswax lip balm in a yellow tube that costs $3 and works better than lip balms that cost 4 times as much. Simplicity in the formula is the whole appeal. Short ingredient list: beeswax, coconut oil, sunflower oil, peppermint, and that peppermint gives it a mild tingle when you apply it that tells you something is happening. I want 3 of them, 1 for my backpack, 1 for my desk, and 1 for my coat pocket. Not having lip balm when you need it is the worst thing about lip balm. Thin enough to forget it's in your pocket, the tube is a small design detail that cheaper drugstore balms in bulkier packaging get wrong. The wax texture is firm at first and softens with body heat, and it doesn't leave a glossy film that makes you look like you are wearing lipstick.
