Personal photo: A crowded cork bulletin board behind glass, covered in overlapping flyers, printed posters, handwritten notes, and business cards in various colors and sizes.

The bulletin board in the student center lobby is covered in flyers for club meetings, sublets, tutoring services, and lost items. I pass it every day without stopping, but I always glance at it. The board itself is just cork behind glass with a simple lock. Handwritten notes, printed posters, and business cards create a collage that tells you what people on campus actually care about this week. No algorithm decides what I see. Everything gets equal real estate: a concert poster next to a roommate wanted ad next to a handwritten note selling a futon. It fills up and gets cleared every 2 weeks, so it stays current. It's a low-tech system that still works, and more about campus life from glancing at it than from the official university email digest.
