I got the Fellow Stagg EKG for my apartment and it's changed how I think about making coffee in the morning. Temperature control lets me dial in exact degrees. The pour spout is thin enough for a proper slow pour without spilling everywhere. I used to just boil water in a regular pot and dump it over the grounds. Now I find myself paying attention to the whole process in a way I didn't before. Built-in timer on the base and a small screen showing current temp. Matte black finish looks good sitting on the counter next to my Chemex. At $165 it isn't cheap, but it makes me want to explore different brew methods. That feels like a fair trade for something I use every single day.
