Press shot: the interior of a jacket lining showing a small hidden zipper pocket partially open, a passport visible inside the pocket, the zipper pull and thin pocket fabric against the lining.

Hidden zipper pocket sewn into the interior waistband of travel pants or the inside of a jacket lining is a security detail that solves the problem of carrying a passport. Cash, or a phone in a pickpocket-prone city without changing the exterior silhouette of the garment. Zipper is small, usually 4 to 5 inches, and the pocket fabric is thin enough that even with a folded passport inside, the bulge is invisible from the outside. I want more of my clothes to have these because the peace of mind of knowing my phone is in a zippered compartment against my body rather than an open pocket is worth the minor inconvenience of reaching for a zipper pull. Design works because it hides value in plain sight, and the pickpocket can't steal what they can't see or feel.
