Press shot: the interior of a Starbucks Reserve Roastery showing the copper roasting equipment, exposed industrial ceiling, a long brass bar with baristas, and shelves of packaged single-origin beans.

83 words

Starbucks Reserve Roastery is a 20,000-square-foot space where they roast beans on site in a copper drum system visible from the main floor. Scale of the equipment, the pipes running along the ceiling, the pneumatic tubes carrying beans to the bar, makes you feel like you walked into a coffee factory that also serves espresso. Brand message is clear: this isn't the drive-through Starbucks, this is the version that cares about origin, process. Craft, and the $7 pour-over you order at the long brass bar is the price of admission to that narrative. Rare single-origin beans here can't be found at a regular location, and the tasting notes are printed on cards you can take home.
