Rifle Paper Co. Started as a stationery brand and expanded into wallpaper. The transition works because the same illustration style, dense botanical patterns with a hand-painted quality and a warm color palette, translates from a greeting card to a wall at any scale without losing character. Peel-and-stick application means no paste, no professional, and no permanent commitment. You can remove them when you move without damaging the wall. That removability changed wallpaper from a renovation decision to a reversible decorating choice. The patterns draw from a tradition of botanical illustration going back to 18th-century naturalists. But the color saturation and slightly loose brushwork give them a contemporary feeling that vintage botanical prints don't have. Rifle Paper Co. Collaborated with York Wallcoverings, manufacturing wallpaper since 1895. The partnership combines York's production quality with Rifle Paper's illustration sensibility. Anna Bond, the founder, hand-paints the original designs. The transition from her brush to a printed surface retains enough texture that you can see individual brushstrokes in petals and leaves. That handmade quality separates it from the flat, digital patterns dominating the wallpaper market. Each roll costs about $50-60, mid-range for the category. A single accent wall in a bedroom takes 2 rolls and about an hour to install. The pattern makes a room feel cared-for and specific in a way paint alone can't. Botanical density creates a visual richness that rewards close looking. My roommate put the Garden Party pattern on her bedroom wall. The room went from feeling like a dorm to feeling like a space someone lives in. That transformation cost $100 and a Saturday morning. Rifle Paper's illustrations are recognizable across product categories. You can spot their hand in a phone case, a notebook, or a wallpaper panel. That visual consistency builds a brand identity as strong as any logo.
