Beeswax wraps feel like cloth until you warm them in your hands. Then the wax softens, and the wrap molds around a bowl or a block of cheese, holding its shape. Cotton infused with beeswax, jojoba oil, and tree resin, the surface is slightly tacky. Enough to stick to itself and ceramic, but not enough to leave residue. They smell faintly sweet, like honey and pine. The scent reminds me the material is natural every time I open the drawer. Each wrap lasts about a year of regular use and washing. When the wax wears off, you can revive them with a fresh coat of beeswax melted in the oven. Mine have floral patterns. They sit folded in my kitchen drawer looking more like napkins than food storage. Visual softness is a nice change from a box of industrial-looking plastic wrap.
