Utility Sink Flower Arrangement

My neighbor has a laundry room with a deep utility sink and she keeps a jar of wildflowers in it. Combination of the industrial basin and the loose flowers is one of the best designed moments I've seen in someone's home. Sink is white porcelain with a high backsplash and chunky faucet handles. Flowers sit in a mason jar right next to the detergent, and the contrast between the functional space and the deliberate beauty of the flowers makes both elements look better. What I admire is that it wasn't planned as a design decision, she just puts flowers where she spends time. The result is more honest than any styled shelf on a home decor account.
