Titles that use the haptics and adaptive triggers well create a physical vocabulary that makes the game feel more present. Astro's Playroom, the pack-in tech demo, remains the best showcase because every surface and every action has a unique tactile signature. Playing it on a DualSense versus a standard controller is the difference between watching rain and feeling it. The trade-off is that the controller costs $70 to replace, which is $10 more than the previous generation.
