Every diner in America uses the same heavy white ceramic mug, and I want to know who decided this was the standard. It's a good decision that nobody seems to have made on purpose. The walls are thick enough that coffee stays warm for a long time. The handle is wide enough for 2 fingers, and the shape stacks efficiently for dishwashing and storage. Best of all, nobody is precious about it. You get unlimited refills, and the mug gets refilled before you have to ask.
