#6 of 315Headspace Sleep Content
Press shot: The Headspace app sleep section showing illustrated nighttime scenes in soft purple and blue tones, with a list of sleepcast options.
Headspace added sleep content that actually helps me fall asleep, and the interesting part is that it works by being boring on purpose. Narrated tours of places like a laundromat at night or a slow train through the countryside, the sleepcasts speak just quietly enough that you have to stop thinking about other things to follow along. There's no sleep tracking, no gamification with scores and streaks, just audio that trusts you to use it when you need it. I appreciate that the design decision was to do less rather than more, because most wellness apps seem determined to make relaxation feel like another task on a to-do list.
