I have a special appreciation for cheap, unobtrusive solutions to little problems we face daily. Getting toothpaste out of a mostly empty tube of toothpaste is a common struggle for me, at least it was until I got one of these bad boys. When I came upon this product about a year ago I was immediately reminded of how I needed to work harder to regularly practice identifying frustrations in my life and coming up with ways to mitigate them. I think about the way a lot of comedians build their career on observational comedy and can’t help but see the parallels to design. This product immediately catches my attention by being a manifestation of someone’s insightful observation that getting the last of the toothpaste out of a tube is difficult! This of course sounds obvious, and maybe it is to all but me, but I didn’t think to solve this problem myself!
