Necessity often breeds creativity and innovation. WIth the global outbreak of coronavirus, we are witnessing invention on a scale not seen in years past. With the increased sensitivity around touch and social contact, many door-opening devices have already found their way into the market, including the hygienehook by London-based designer Steve Brooks. The product is small enough to fit into a pocket and made from an easy-to-clean non-porous material. After the invention hit the market, Brooks received personal requests for the device from NHS Wales. The gadget is available in four different varieties, one hook is donated for each one sold.
