My emerging design perspective places a lot of value on products that are well-integrated with the user’s existing life, and enhance experiences without totally changing them. I have come to realize that I really value the design of Creative Commons media because of how seamlessly it improves the research process for me. I find that concerns about citations and references are incredibly stressful because the information on material is often not well-organized but the stakes for making mistakes in a bibliography are painfully high. Creative Commons is an easy to use search engine for creative work that is available for others to work on, with all of the relevant credentials in plain, organized view. This design and concept ease the cognitive burden of the user tremendously well.
