Iris Van Herpen’s work has broken all boundaries in fashion design and haute couture. She melds all sorts of fabrication and couture processes to create incredible works of art for the body that are subliminal and awe-inspiring. I identify with her design ethos, because I personally have a background in fashion design, fine art, and architecture, so in personal projects, I am always interested in the intersection of these fields, as she is. I love digital fabrication and have included it in personal fashion projects; her work continuously sets the bar higher and higher and keeps viewers and makers dreaming at its creative and inspiring energy.
