Roadbikes are beautiful objects. This is because, in a roadbike, no piece does not have a function. They are aiming to be as lightweight and aerodynamic as possible, have as few moving parts as possible (for maintenance) and do everything to help a rider get as quickly as possible from A to B. Similarly, road bikes have gone through millions of iterations: by now, they are as closely matched around the human silhouette as imaginable and are therefore an incredibly effective and efficiently designed piece of kit.
