I have a drawer in my desk mostly filled with post-it products. While I find myself grabbing many of them often to readily jot things down, I typically feel most inspired by post-it flags. I find that post-it flags make me want to annotate my readings closely. It is because the flags are colorful, easy to use, and don’t require much thought that I find myself reaching for them while I read something important. I also know that while I use them I don’t have to worry about them obscuring the rest of the text, as they are small and the parts which must cover text are transparent, and they allow me to maintain a pseudo-organization system in that they come in a set of colors.
