Text Rex, a personal restaurant recommendation service brought to you by The Infatuation. The idea here is to bring you personalised recommendations from real people/ a platform that is already trusted. You text them asking a question (eg: “Where can I take a group of colleagues to dinner in the South end” or “What is a good late night date spot?”) and they respond with some suggestions, in real time. Given the Infatuation’s reliability as a platform, TextRex is able to carry forth its ‘authority’ and ‘liking’. Similarly, instead of having to scan multiple other platforms to make reservations/search for tables, TextRex reduces the time, physical effort and cognitive effort required of individuals, thus resulting in a higher ability to perform the task.
