WIG: Cell phone adhesive wallet

You’ll probably find one on the back literally any given college student’s cell phone, and that’s because these cell phone card sleeve solve a real need: students like to carry their 2-3 important cards around with them without the bulk of a wallet. These wallets are cheap and rubbery, but they’re fairly durable and inexpensive to manufacture, so organizations can print a logo and hand them out en masse. But they’re also something of a hack. We wouldn’t exactly need these if cases with card sleeves were more popular, more inexpensive, or more attractively designed. Still, they fulfill a clear need, and despite being more of a band-aid, I think they represent some interesting design.
