Contrary to what you might expect given all the press about middle schoolers and Fortnite, the game is actually really well designed. The mechanics are simple enough—move around, point, shoot. The addition of building helps differentiate Fortnite from its competitors by allowing for an infinite number of game scenarios. The graphics are cartoonish, but not in a way that would be off putting to adults who play. And the game keeps updating with new characters, weapons, mechanics, and items, so it can keep itself always fresh for its users.
