I am a huge earrings lover. I have so many earrings already that I am rarely motivated to buy a new pair unless they are really special. But the “pick a jewel” earrings that I found in Japan really struck me at first sight. The concept is straightforward – the earrings are basically a pair of clips with which you can attach almost anything onto it – tree leaves, folded paper, post-it, etc. This idea of giving users the freedom to personalise their earrings and express individual creativity is brilliant. I once just clipped it with a piece of folded newspaper and another random pink card, it looked so chic that my friend thought it was a pair of designer earrings made that way.
