Designed by Donatella Versace, the Versace Men’s Fall 2019 Show during Milan Fashion Week combined trendy and forward-thinking elements in streetwear on the runway. Starting off with a dark, leather ensemble, the outfit looked like a version of what celebrities or off-duty models wear on the go, and following outfits included dark, structured blazers and oversized sweatshirts, items that anyone could incorporate into their closets. As the show progressed, an increasing number of provocative, colorful pieces were added, so naturally, by the time a giant neon sweatshirt walks on the runway, the viewer still believes it to be a part of the same collection as the initial, red and black leather outfit. The show was designed to flow so well, and made the most ridiculous and gutsy pieces become desirable. Notable celebrities like Bella Hadid and Emily Ratajkowski walked the runway, creating a sense of authority that Cialdini attributes as a main source of persuasion.
