Constructed using locally sourced leather from the Palestinian city of Hebron, the hand-stitched embroidery decorating this key fob is meticulously stitched by a group of women in the Palestinian village of Zababdeh. I purchased this key fob from a US-based company called Darzah several years ago and throughout those years, the quality has most definitely held up. Decorated using a traditional Palestinian ‘tatreez’ (embroidery) pattern, this key fob presents a beautiful intersection between modernity and cultural tradition. Large enough to carry on my wrist but small enough to put in my pocket without it hanging out, the fob is both aesthetically and functionally pleasant to use.
