This product has achieved instant recognition ever since Halsey Willard Taylor and Luther Haws invented the first drinking water fountain in 1906. Designed to provide safer drinking water and to avoid pollution and disease seen previously in family members and coworkers, this drinking fountain was known as the “Double Bubbler,” which dispensed streams of water in an arc to prevent the spreading of illnesses. This grew tremendously in the 1920s and 1930s, the Taylor company manufacturing more than 80% of the drinking fountains in the US. The water fountain today looks extremely like the ones developed in its first stages and though recognition stands as one of its main attributes, a renovated, more modern appearance would also be welcomed into company spaces and public areas.
