A piece of technology that was truly ahead of its time, it’s been more than a decade since the Domino’s Pizza Tracker was released. While the actual pizza leaves much to be desired, the ordering and delivery service is by far the smoothest in the industry (maybe now with the exception of UberEats). The ability to know where your pizza is down to the minute (Domino’s says the tracker is accurate to within 40 seconds) in theory shouldn’t add much, but somehow the additional information makes the whole process just plain fun and desirable. Knowing the first name of who made your pizza or who’s bringing it to you technically isn’t at all relevant, but this impersonal process becomes so much more friendly because of it.
