I envy women who can slip on a pair of stilettos and go about their days — but with my clumsy propensity for ankle sprains, traditional heels are a no-go. This limits me to either the low-risk flat or the orthopedic heel. Then there are EuroSoft’s Merris wedges, which are pretty much a hybrid of the two. They have latex and memory foam on their “dual comfort footbed,” a zipper at the back to make take-off easy, and a jute-wrapped edge for casual ease. They can be dressed up or down, and (best of all) they’re about as stable as a rock. No more twisted ankles!
