ChallengeHalf: Mark Zuckerberg

by baltringer

Since I’m not such a big user of social media I thought it would be interesting to look into the Instagram account of an owner of the company. I contained the posts I investigated to those of the last year to limit the effect a varying follower count would have on his likes and comments figures. My findings were that the photos people engaged with most were those that pictured Zuck as a relatable father. In addition to being relatable, I’m sure the cuteness of his daughters plays a significant role in driving followers to engage with his posts. I didn’t find proportionality to be a strong factor, but did notice that his most liked post had a significant degree of contrasting colors. I also found it interesting that the photos without faces consistently had lower engagement and typically the more faces there are in his photos, the more likes and comments he receives.
