The IBM model M keyboard remains a resilient and functional piece of computing history. Not only did it pioneer many of the concepts we now see in contemporary keyboard design, but is also unbelievably durable. I pulled mine out of a dumpster nearly 20 years after it first saw the light of day and it proceeded to click and clack as I typed away flawlessly. So robust is this keyboard that some people even recommend putting it through the dishwasher for a thorough cleaning. Its innovative design will surely keep it operational in my possession for many more years to come.
