I interviewed Luke Heine, who was recently selected as Forbes 30 under 30 for a Fair Opportunity Project he founded. This project aims to provide free and easily accessible college admission guide for high school students in the U.S. Currently this guide has been used by over 57,000 high school students in US and will release Chinese version, for international student and undocumented student version soon.
When I asked him about the design of website and admission material, Luke said he wanted the resource can be used online and offline. Also, he mentioned that his intention was not trying to attract matrix for the website or creating fancy materials. As a result, PDF version turned out to be the optimal solution: its format is universal, it can be used online or printed and it is just so simple that students can quickly find the information that they really need in this guide. I really learned a lot from the interview and hope to see more and more students can be benefited from this guide to lower the barrier in entering higher education.
