Apple quietly added a brilliant feature to iOS 10 to rival Evernote — the ability to add people to the notes on your phone. It’s an extremely light-weight way to share information in an ongoing manner. Personally, I love that exists in the place where I already jot down a lot of information. What makes it powerful is 1) it is native to mobile and 2) everyone with an iPhone has it. Google Docs are fantastic for projects but a bit clunky on your phone, and Evernote requires that all parties have the application downloaded (which is less likely than everyone in your group owning an iPhone). I mainly use shared notes with checklists to keep track of progress on ongoing projects. Pictured is one such checklist for an application project. Next time you’re looking for a way to quickly and easily share information that’s a bit too hefty for a group chat — look no further than the notes icon on your iPhone!
