TED is one of the coolest sites around to me because it simply gives a platform for the spread of information and ideas. There are talks on such a variety of topics, and I have had multiple professors refer to TED talks as a place to get great information on a topic. Even further, TEDx allows anyone to organize a local event with speakers, making even more information accessible through even more people. I have yet to see a talk where the speaker wasn’t polished, engaging and sharing interesting information about something that they are passionate about. TED also has many of their talks recorded on podcasts, so that you can listen to them on the go anywhere.
