What I’ve Got: Privacy Glass

by post_author

With the proliferation of open floor plans and community workspaces across offices, schools, and homes, more and more glass seems to be a design element that offers structure without impeding the ever-important sight lines of these free-flowing spaces. What I find so appealing about privacy glass, is its ability to take the fluidity of a normal glass pane and give the user further control over their environment. I envision a design plan that uses this kind of automatic, opacity-shifting glass to restructure entire floors depending on how the renter or owner would like to use them. Ultimately, it takes something with undeniable aesthetic value, and addresses the one concern some people may have about it.
